The unity of the artistic expression

We will understand better this perspective in the context of the analysis of the work of art.

Every product of art has only one meaning, independently of how long is the composition, independently of how many media are used and how many people have worked in making it. Once that meaning is realised, one can academically try to analyse the composition; not vice-versa. It is not the sum of the constituent parts that creates that work of art. You can’t recreate the artistic unit by re-composing the annualised parts.

Art is a creative process. So, if you want to be an artist, you have to understand how creation precedes, how it manifests, how it finds the techniques of expressing itself.
